A Compact Start for Wireless Garden Lighting
The Light Symphony 1 Channel Starter Kit combines a single channel lighting controller with a two zone key fob. It is intended for a simple first stage: one circuit of garden lighting operated from a handheld control.
It could serve a small seating area, a group of uplights or one feature you want to see from the house. All fittings on that circuit operate together, keeping the initial system easy to understand.
One Output, With a Handset Included
The controller is rated at up to 350W and is supplied with a two zone key fob. The handset has more control capability than the single output in this package, but it does not create a second electrical circuit by itself.
An additional controller is required when another independent circuit is added. This distinction helps when planning a phased installation: the kit starts with one output, while the wider Light Symphony system can grow.
How It Works
The key fob communicates wirelessly with the controller. The controller itself still needs a mains supply and wired connections to the chosen lighting load.
The listed kit offers a smooth on and off option for compatible lighting. The installer must match any dimming configuration to the lamps or LED drivers, keeping non-dimmable equipment on an appropriate switched setting.
The kit's stated key fob range is up to 350 metres in clear line of sight. Test the practical coverage around the house and garden, as solid obstacles can reduce it.
Where It Works Best
A single channel starter kit suits projects where the lights should genuinely operate as one group. It avoids introducing unnecessary control choices to a modest scheme.
If you want a pathway to remain on while decorative lights are switched off, those are separate requirements and need separate circuits. In that case, consider the 2 Channel Starter Kit or allow for an additional controller.
Expand the Scheme Later
Further compatible controllers can join the installation when new areas are added. A Smart Timer can introduce phone control and schedules without making the key fob redundant.
The kit contains the controller and handset, not the light fittings or all the electrical materials needed to install them. Choosing those items together ensures the controller is matched to the actual scheme.

Questions People Ask
Why does a one channel kit have a two zone key fob?
Because the fob can support more than this starter kit uses at first. The kit has one controller output, and a second independent circuit needs another controller.
Can this kit operate several garden lights together?
Yes, if the fittings are correctly specified within the controller rating. They will all switch or dim together on the same output.
Can I add a timer later?
Yes. A compatible Light Symphony Smart Timer can be added later for app control and automatic scheduling.
Do I need to buy a separate key fob?
No. The Light Symphony 1 Channel Starter Kit already includes a key fob.
