A Softly Dimpled Glass Globe

The Waverly Large Pendant is built around a rounded glass shade that never quite matches its neighbour. Leverint's glassblowers work the glass by hand while it's still hot, letting it settle into soft dimples and folds rather than forcing it into a perfect sphere. The result is a globe with real depth and movement, lit from within by a single exposed bulb that shows off every curve of the glass.

Choose Your Finish

This pendant ships in clear hand blown glass, the only glass option Leverint offers on the Waverly shape, together with your choice of plated metal finish, chosen when you order. These photos show it in clear glass on a satin nickel fitting, but Leverint plates the same fitting in polished brass, brushed brass, weathered brass, bronze or polished nickel too, so you can match it to the rest of your scheme.

How It Works

The Waverly takes a single E27 bulb, up to 40W, sold separately so you can pick the tone and brightness you want. It's mains dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch and dimmable bulb. The shade hangs from a fabric sleeved cable set to 1 metre as standard, with a shade that measures 300mm across and 280mm tall. As with all our lighting, we recommend installation by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Where It Works Best

Its rounded shape and warm glow suit living rooms and dining rooms as a single statement piece, or a run of two or three over a kitchen island or breakfast bar. It also works well in a bedroom or hallway where you want a softer, more sculptural alternative to a standard ceiling light.

Made By Leverint

Leverint is a hand blown glass lighting studio based in Enfield, London, where every shade is shaped by hand rather than cast from a mould. The studio says it draws on more than a century of glassblowing experience through its parent company, G Farley and Sons, and its founders, Andrew Print, John Leveridge and Lee Rowland, bring decades of combined experience in lighting design and glass artistry to every piece they make.
