A Low Glass Drum with a Sunburst of Ribs
The Temple Flush Mount is a low, round fitting with a hand blown glass shade, 200mm across and 100mm deep, so it sits close to the surface rather than hanging down into the room. The ribs on the front fan out from a small round fixing at the centre, and two candle bulbs sit inside, glowing through the glass. Leverint lists it as both a wall light and a flush mount, designed for hallways, kitchens and other living areas.
Choose Your Finish
Each Temple Flush Mount is made to order in your choice of hand blown glass and plated metal finish, chosen from the swatches and dropdowns above when you order. The photos show it in ribbed, fine ribbed and transparent black glass, and Leverint also offers opaque white. The metalwork is plated in polished brass, brushed brass, weathered brass, bronze, polished nickel or satin nickel, so you can match the fitting to the rest of your scheme. Because the glass is blown by hand and the metal is plated by hand, the colour and texture of your light may vary slightly from the photos, and screens show colour differently from one device to another. If you are unsure about a finish before ordering, please call our customer service team.
How It Works
It takes two E14 candle bulbs, which are not included as standard, but you can add Leverint's LED candle bulb from the dropdown above or choose no bulb and supply your own. Leverint lists a maximum of 8W LED and a supply of 220 to 240V, and the fitting is mains dimmable. It is a hardwired fitting, so we recommend that a qualified electrician installs it, ideally one who is NICEIC registered.
Leverint confirms this light is rated IP44, so it is suitable for bathroom use. Our guide to bathroom lighting zones explains what is allowed where.
Where It Works Best
The shallow 100mm depth makes it a good choice where a pendant would hang too low, such as a hallway, a kitchen or a living area. A pair looks neat either side of a round mirror, as in one of the photos, and a single fitting suits a landing or a narrow corridor where headroom matters.
Made By Leverint
Leverint is a hand blown glass lighting studio based in Enfield, London, where each piece of glass is shaped by hand rather than cast in a mould. The studio says it draws on more than a century of glassblowing experience through its parent company, G Farley and Sons, and its founders bring decades of lighting design and glass artistry to every light. A drum with ribbing on both the face and the sides is a good example of the detail that hand blowing allows.
