The Pimlico Medium Sealed Rod Pendant hangs a single hand blown glass globe from a fixed rod rather than a cable, giving it a clean, architectural line from ceiling to shade. The 200mm sphere sits in the middle of Leverint's Pimlico range, large enough to read as a proper statement over a table or island, but compact enough to hang well in a row of three or more.

This pendant ships in your choice of hand blown glass and plated metal finish, chosen when you order. These photos show it in fine ribbed twist and opaque white glass on a polished brass rod, but Leverint also blows the same sphere in ribbed, plain opaque white, and ribbed twist glass, and plates the rod in brushed brass, weathered brass, bronze, polished nickel or satin nickel, so you can match it to the rest of your scheme.

How It Works

Each pendant takes one G9 bulb, 1.5W maximum, which is not supplied so you can choose your own colour temperature. It's mains dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch and dimmable bulb. The rod is sealed and fixed rather than adjustable, and comes in a 1m standard length, with bespoke lengths available on request if you need to hang it lower or higher. Because it's a mains fitting, we recommend it's wired in by a registered electrician rather than fitted as a plug in pendant.

Leverint designed the Pimlico shape to work equally well as a single drop or in a line, which makes this sealed rod version a natural fit above a kitchen island, a run of three or more spaced evenly along a breakfast bar, or as a pair flanking a dining table. The same sphere also suits a living room or bedroom as a softer alternative to a ceiling flush light, and works well in a hallway where a fixed rod keeps the glass at a consistent height.

Leverint is a hand blown glass lighting studio based in Enfield, London, where every shade is shaped by hand rather than cast from a mould. The studio draws on more than a century of glassblowing experience through its parent company G Farley and Sons, and its founders bring decades of combined lighting design and glass artistry to each piece they make.
