A Rounded Glass Globe with Room to Glow

The Pimlico Medium Pendant is built around a full sphere of hand blown glass, 200mm across, that wraps softly around its bulb rather than pointing it downward like a shade. Hung on its own it makes a quiet, rounded statement over a bedside table or reading corner. Group two or three together and the repeated spheres read as one sculptural cluster, ideal over a kitchen island, a dining table or a run along a hallway or stairwell.

This pendant ships in your choice of hand blown glass and plated metal finish, chosen when you order. These photos show it in a ribbed, smoked grey glass on a polished nickel fitting, but Leverint blows the same globe shade in clear glass, ribbed, fine ribbed, transparent black, opaque white, dark blue ribbed, transparent black ribbed, ribbed twist and fine ribbed twist too, and plates the fitting in polished brass, brushed brass, weathered brass, bronze, polished nickel or satin nickel, so you can match it to the rest of your scheme.

How It Works

Each globe takes one bulb, up to 40W and E14 fitting, which is not supplied as standard. It is mains dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch and bulb. It hangs on a metre of fabric sleeved cable as standard, dropping from a compact ceiling rose around 65mm across, so the glass does the visual work rather than the fittings. We recommend having it installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Where It Works Best

Living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, dining rooms and hallways all suit this pendant well. Hang one low over a kitchen island or breakfast bar, use it as a soft bedside or reading light, or run several along a hallway or stairwell for a repeated, sculptural effect. Because the shade is a full sphere rather than a directional shade, it gives a soft, even glow that works equally well as an accent light or as the main light in a smaller room.

Leverint Lighting hand blows every shade at its own studio in Enfield, London, rather than casting from a mould.
