The Marble V2 Floor Lamp is a sculptural piece in hand blown ribbed glass: a round globe sits on a flat plated metal disc at the top of a tall glass column, with a slim metal line running down the front of the column to a round metal base. Where the original Marble floor lamp is a globe on a slim stem, the V2 gives the globe a substantial glass plinth to stand on, so the whole lamp reads as one tall, glowing form. Leverint blows the glass by hand in its London studio, and the ribbing catches the light from the bulb at both the globe and the column. It is a tall, substantial floor lamp, standing 1450mm high with a 230mm globe on a 250mm wide base, and it weighs approximately 8.5kg, so please check the height and floor space before ordering.

Each lamp is made to order in hand blown ribbed glass with the plated metal finish of your choice, chosen from the swatches above when you order. Leverint plates the metalwork in polished brass, brushed brass, weathered brass, bronze, polished nickel or satin nickel, so you can match it to the rest of your scheme. The photo shows the lamp with brass coloured metalwork. Because the glass is blown by hand and the metal is plated by hand, the colour and texture of your lamp may vary slightly from the photos, and screens show colour differently from one device to another. How It Works

The lamp takes one G9 bulb. It is not supplied with one as standard, but you can add Leverint's G9 LED filament bulb from the dropdown above, or choose no bulb and fit your own. Leverint's technical sheet lists a 40W maximum, while its product page lists 8W for an LED bulb, so a low wattage LED bulb is the sensible choice inside glass. It is supplied with 1.5 metres of fabric sleeved flex and an inline switch, so you add a bulb and plug it in. The inline switch is on and off only, so the lamp is not dimmable as supplied. If you ever want the lamp rewired or connected to anything other than the supplied switch, have that work carried out by a qualified electrician.

Leverint suggests the Marble V2 Floor Lamp for the living room, the hallway and other living spaces. At 1450mm it stands taller than most armchairs and sofa arms, so it works well as a feature in a corner, beside a sofa or at the end of a hallway where it can be seen from a distance. With no fabric shade to add, it makes a good choice if you want a finished lamp that relies on its glass rather than on a shade to set the style.

Leverint is a hand blown glass lighting studio based in Enfield, London, where each piece of glass is shaped by hand rather than cast in a mould.
