The Kingston Charlton Duo Deco Wall Light pairs two different hand blown glass shapes on a single plated bracket, a rounded capsule form above and a softer teardrop below. Because each shade is blown by hand rather than cast from a mould, the swirl in the glass moves slightly differently on every piece.

This wall light ships in your choice of hand blown glass and plated metal finish, chosen when you order. These photos show it in the ribbed twist glass seen in the main image, on a polished brass finish, but Leverint blows the same pair of shades in ribbed, fine ribbed, opaque white and fine ribbed twist glass too, and plates the bracket in brushed brass, weathered brass, bronze, polished nickel or satin nickel, so you can match it to the rest of your scheme.

How It Works

Each shade takes one 4W max G9 bulb, so two bulbs in total, not supplied as standard. Paired with a compatible dimmer switch and dimmable bulbs, it works as mains dimmable wall lighting. The fitting measures 430mm high and 150mm in width, with a compact 40mm wall projection joining the two shades. The glass is open rather than sealed, so keep to the stated wattage when choosing a bulb. We recommend having it wired in by a registered electrician.

Where It Works Best

Its paired shades make it a good statement piece either side of a fireplace or mirror in a living room or dining room, and it works well flanking a hallway or bedroom wall too. In a kitchen, a pair either side of a window or run of cabinetry adds soft, layered light without taking up worktop space.

Leverint is a hand blown glass lighting studio based in Enfield, London, where glassblowers shape every shade by hand instead of casting it from a mould. According to Leverint, the studio draws on more than a century of glassblowing experience through its parent company, G Farley and Sons, and its founders, Andrew Print, John Leveridge and Lee Rowland, bring decades of combined lighting design and glass artistry to each piece it makes.
