The Ealing medium flush fitting is a saucer shaped ceiling light with a shallow, rounded profile that sits close to the ceiling rather than hanging down. Its hand blown glass shade carries a fine, fanned texture that radiates out from the centre to the rim, catching the light differently depending on the angle you view it from. At 230mm across it suits rooms where a pendant would hang too low or feel too bulky.

Choose Your Finish

This fitting ships in your choice of hand blown glass and plated metal finish, chosen when you order. These photos show it in clear glass on a bronze finish, but Leverint blows the same shade in ribbed, fine ribbed, transparent black and opaque white glass too, and plates the fitting in polished brass, brushed brass, weathered brass, polished nickel and satin nickel, so you can match it to the rest of your scheme.

How It Works

It takes one E27 bulb, up to 40W, which is not supplied so you can pick the tone and brightness you want. The fitting is mains dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch and bulb. It projects 80mm from the ceiling and measures 230mm across. As with all Leverint fittings, we recommend having it installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Where It Works Best

Its low profile makes it a natural fit for living rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, dining rooms and hallways, anywhere ceiling height is at a premium or you want a softer alternative to a pendant. Because the glass diffuses the bulb rather than exposing it directly, it works well as a main room light as well as a landing or corridor fitting.

Leverint is a hand blown glass lighting studio based in Enfield, London. Every shade is shaped by hand rather than cast from a mould, work the studio says draws on more than a century of glassblowing experience through its parent company, G Farley and Sons.
