The Chiswick XL Pendant is built around a wide, sweeping dome of hand blown glass, 400mm across. It's one of Leverint's larger silhouettes, made to hang low over a table or island and hold its own as a genuine focal point rather than a supporting light.

Choose Your Finish

This Chiswick XL comes in clear hand blown glass, so the dome shown in these photos is exactly what you'll get. The metalwork is a different matter. Leverint plates it to order in one of six tones, Polished Brass, Brushed Brass, Weathered Brass, Bronze, Polished Nickel or Satin Nickel, so you choose the one that suits your scheme when you place your order. These photos show it with a nickel finish fitting and cable, but any of the six tones pairs with the same clear glass dome.

How It Works

It takes a single E27 bulb, up to 40W, which is not supplied so you can pick the exact warmth and style of filament you want. It's mains dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch and bulb. The dome measures 400mm across and 235mm high, and it comes with a 1 metre drop as standard. We'd recommend having it installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Where It Works Best

Its scale suits rooms where you want one fitting to do the talking, over a dining table, above a kitchen island, or hung low in a hallway or living room. It works just as well as a statement piece in a bedroom with enough ceiling height to let the dome breathe.

Made By Leverint

Leverint is a hand blown glass lighting studio based in Enfield, London, where every shade is shaped by hand rather than cast from a mould. The studio was founded by Andrew Print, John Leveridge and Lee Rowland, who bring decades of combined experience in lighting design and glass artistry, and Leverint says its glasswork draws on more than a century of expertise through its parent company, G Farley and Sons.

Does it come with a bulb?

No. It's supplied without a bulb, so you can fit an E27 bulb of up to 40W in whichever style and colour temperature you prefer.
