The Charlton XL is one of the largest shades in Leverint's collection, a tall glass capsule with softly rounded ends that runs the full length of an exposed tubular bulb. It has a clean, almost art deco silhouette that works just as well as a single statement pendant as it does grouped together in a cascade.

Choose Your Finish

This pendant ships in your choice of hand blown glass and plated metal finish, chosen when you order. These photos show it in clear glass on a nickel finish, but Leverint blows the same Charlton XL shade in ribbed, fine ribbed, transparent black, opaque white, ribbed twist and fine ribbed twist glass too, and plates the fittings in polished brass, brushed brass, weathered brass, bronze, polished nickel or satin nickel, so you can match it to the rest of your scheme.

How It Works

Each Charlton XL takes a single 40W max E27 bulb, not supplied as standard, and its clean tubular shape suits a full length LED filament bulb so the light runs the length of the glass. It's mains dimmable when paired with a compatible dimmer switch and bulb, and hangs on a fabric sleeved cable measuring 1 metre as standard. We recommend having it installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Where It Works Best

Its scale and rounded shape suit hallways and stairwells with height to spare, as well as kitchens, dining rooms, living rooms and bedrooms where one confident pendant does the job of several smaller ones. Hung in multiples, it also works well as a cascade over a larger space such as an atrium or open staircase.

Made By Leverint

Leverint is a hand blown glass lighting studio based in Enfield, London, where every shade is shaped by hand rather than cast from a mould. The studio draws on more than a century of glassblowing experience through its parent company, G Farley and Sons, and its founders, Andrew Print, John Leveridge and Lee Rowland, bring decades of combined lighting design and glass artistry to each piece.
