The Charlton V2 Pendant is a long, capsule shaped glass shade with a short cylindrical neck, held by a plated metal collar fixed with small pins. The photos show the capsule in ribbed, clear, fine ribbed, transparent black and opaque white glass, with a brass toned collar and dark fabric flex. Leverint plates the metalwork in polished brass, brushed brass, weathered brass, bronze, polished nickel or satin nickel, and the fabric sleeved flex comes in charcoal, whisky, slate grey, linen, coffee or khaki. Because the glass is blown by hand and the metal is plated by hand, the colour and texture of your pendant may vary slightly from the photos, and screens show colour differently from one device to another. How It Works

The pendant takes one E27 bulb, up to 40W. It is not supplied with one as standard, but you can add Leverint's T32 LED filament bulb from the bulb dropdown above, a long tubular bulb that suits the shape of the glass, or choose no bulb and fit your own. Leverint lists it as dimmable using mains dimming, so it will work with a compatible dimmer switch and a dimmable bulb. It hangs from a ceiling rose 65mm across and 37mm deep, on a standard 1 metre drop of fabric sleeved flex, and Leverint can supply a longer length if you enquire. As a hardwired ceiling fitting, we recommend that it is installed by a qualified electrician, ideally one who is NICEIC registered.

Where It Works Best

The narrow width makes this a good choice where a wide shade would crowd the space: beside a bed, at the end of a hallway, down a stairwell or in a run of two or three along a kitchen worktop. Because it is only 180mm across, several can hang close together without the shades touching. Clear glass lets the filament show as a bright vertical line, ribbed and fine ribbed glass break the light into soft stripes, and opaque white gives an even glow along the full length of the glass.

Made By Leverint

Leverint is a hand blown glass lighting studio based in Enfield, London, where every shade is shaped by hand rather than cast from a mould. The studio says it draws on more than a century of glassblowing experience through its parent company, G Farley and Sons.
