The Charlton Small Pendant is a slim, capsule shaped glass shade with softly rounded ends, hand blown in Leverint's London studio and hung on a fabric sleeved cable. At 120mm wide and 250mm high it is the most compact of the three Charlton sizes, so it works well as a single light or as part of a close grouping. Leverint suggests the Charlton for modern kitchens, stairwells and dining spaces, hung alone, in a line or as a cascade. Choose Your Finish

Each pendant is made to order in your choice of hand blown glass, plated metal finish and fabric flex colour, chosen from the swatches and dropdowns above on this page. The photos show the shade in clear and ribbed glass, and Leverint also blows it in fine ribbed, transparent black and opaque white, with ribbed twist and fine ribbed twist textures available as an upgrade. The metalwork can be finished in polished brass, brushed brass, weathered brass, bronze, polished nickel or satin nickel, and the cable comes in charcoal, whisky, slate grey, linen, coffee or khaki. Because the glass is blown by hand and the metal is plated by hand, the colour and texture of your pendant may vary slightly from the photos, and screens show colour differently from one device to another. How It Works

The pendant hangs on 1 metre of fabric sleeved cable as standard and takes one bulb of up to 40W. A bulb is not supplied as standard, but you can add Leverint's T20 LED filament bulb from the dropdown above, or choose no bulb and fit your own. Leverint lists the Charlton as mains dimmable, so it will work with a compatible dimmer switch and dimmable bulb. The ceiling rose is 65mm across. As a hardwired ceiling fitting, it should always be installed by a qualified electrician, ideally one who is NICEIC registered.

Where It Works Best

This is the smallest Charlton, so it is the one to choose when you want a slim line of glass rather than a big statement. Hung at staggered heights it makes a tidy cascade down a stairwell, and three or four in a row suit a kitchen island or dining table. A single pendant also fits neatly into a hallway or beside a bed, where a larger shade would feel crowded. The clear and ribbed glass options let the bulb show through, which gives a warm, glowing column of light.

Made By Leverint

Leverint is a hand blown glass lighting studio based in Enfield, London, where every shade is shaped by hand rather than cast from a mould. The studio says it draws on more than a century of glassblowing experience through its parent company G Farley and Sons. Because each Charlton shade is shaped by hand, small differences from one piece to the next are part of how it is made.
