The Camden Large Pendant is built around one clean idea, a wide cone of hand blown glass that flares out from a narrow neck to a broad 300mm rim. There is nothing fussy about the shape. It reads as a single confident gesture, which is exactly why it works equally well hung low over an island, in a stairwell, or as a single striking drop above a dining table.

Choose Your Finish

This pendant ships in your choice of hand blown glass and plated metal finish, chosen when you order. Our photos show it here in clear glass and in the ribbed glass option, both fitted with a nickel toned neck and ceiling rose. Leverint blows the same Camden shade in fine ribbed, transparent black, opaque white, ribbed twist and fine ribbed twist glass too, and plates the fittings in polished brass, brushed brass, weathered brass, bronze or satin nickel as well, so you can match it to the rest of your scheme.

How It Works

Camden Large Pendant takes a single 40W max E27 bulb, not supplied as standard, so you can pick a filament or LED lamp to suit the room. It is mains dimmable when wired to a compatible dimmer switch. The glass shade sits open at the base around the bulb rather than sealed, and the fitting comes with a metre of flex as standard, so the drop can be adjusted on installation to suit your ceiling height. As with any hardwired fitting, we recommend having it installed by a registered NICEIC electrician.

Where It Works Best

Its size and drop make it a natural fit for a kitchen, whether that is a single pendant over an island or a run of them along a breakfast bar. The same shade works just as well in a living room or dining room as a central feature, in a bedroom hung to one side of the bed, or in a hallway where its clean silhouette catches the eye as soon as you walk in.

Made By Leverint

Leverint is a hand blown glass lighting studio based in Enfield, London, where every Camden shade is shaped by hand rather than cast from a mould. The studio works under G Farley and Sons, and according to Leverint it draws on more than a century of glassblowing experience passed down through that family business. Leverint's founders, Andrew Print, John Leveridge and Lee Rowland, bring decades of combined experience in lighting design and glass artistry to each piece the studio produces.
