A Plump Glass Body On A Slim Metal Stem
The Archway Table Lamp is built around a single rounded glass body, shaped like a softly squared pebble, that rests on a small plated metal disc. A slim metal stem runs up through the centre of the glass to the lamp holder. The curves are generous without being heavy, and every body is hand blown in Leverint's London studio, so it looks good from every side and sits happily on a bedside table, a hallway console or a side table. Please note that the fabric shade shown in the photos is not included, so you can pair the base with a shade of your own choosing.
Choose Your Glass and Metal Finish
Each lamp is made to order in your choice of hand blown glass and plated metal finish, chosen from the swatches above when you order. The photos show the base in ribbed, fine ribbed, clear, transparent black and opaque white glass, as well as the ribbed twist and fine ribbed twist textures, which are available as an upgrade. Leverint plates the metalwork in polished brass, brushed brass, weathered brass, bronze, polished nickel or satin nickel, so you can match it to the rest of your scheme. Because the glass is blown by hand and the metal is plated by hand, the colour and texture of your lamp may vary slightly from the photos, and screens show colour differently from one device to another. How It Works
The lamp takes one E27 bulb. It is not supplied with one as standard, but you can add Leverint's T45 LED filament bulb from the dropdown above, or choose no bulb and fit your own. Leverint lists a 40W maximum on its technical sheet and recommends a low wattage LED filament bulb, which is the sensible choice inside glass. It is supplied with 1.5 metres of fabric sleeved flex and an inline switch, so there is nothing to install: unpack it, add a bulb and a shade, and plug it in. The inline switch is on and off only, so the lamp is not dimmable as supplied. If you ever want the lamp rewired or connected to anything other than the supplied switch, have that work carried out by a qualified electrician.
Where It Works Best
With a 250mm wide glass body and a height of 225mm to the top of the lamp holder, this is a compact table lamp rather than a statement floor standing piece. Leverint suggests it for the living room, bedroom and hallway, and it suits a bedside table, a console, a home office desk or a side table next to a sofa, where its rounded glass shape softens straight edged furniture. A pair on matching bedside tables works especially well, and the clear, ribbed and twisted glass options let light from the bulb catch in the glass as well as glow through the shade above.

Leverint is a hand blown glass lighting studio based in Enfield, London, where each piece of glass is shaped by hand rather than cast in a mould. The studio says it draws on more than a century of glassblowing experience through its parent company, G Farley and Sons, and its founders bring decades of lighting design and glass artistry to every lamp. A wide, even glass body like the Archway's is a good example of that skill, because the walls have to be blown thin and consistent all the way round.

No. The Leverint Archway Table Lamp is sold as a base only, and the grey drum shade shown in the photos is not included. It has a standard E27 lamp holder, so a drum or empire shade of your own choice can be fitted to it.
