How it works

The head swivels to redirect the beam whether it's sitting on a surface or mounted to a wall. Wall mounting should be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Part of Le Klint's wider design story

Le Klint is best known for the hand pleated paper shades the family began folding in Odense in the early 1900s, refined over generations before Tage Klint formally founded the company in 1943. The Carronade sits alongside that heritage as part of Le Klint's broader design collaborations: rather than a pleated shade, Markus Johansson paired a solid walnut base with lacquered steel and brass to create a more directional, adjustable form of light.

• Can the same lamp be used on a table and on a wall? Yes. The Carronade's base is designed to sit on a flat surface or mount to a wall, with the same swivelling head letting you redirect the light either way.
• Do I need an electrician to fit it? Only for wall mounting; we'd recommend a qualified electrician fits any wall mounted light. As a table lamp it simply plugs in and sits freestanding.
• What bulb does it take? A single E14 fitting, maximum 10W, giving a recommended 420lm output.
