Made By Le Klint

Le Klint has been folding paper into lampshades since around 1900, when P.V. Jensen-Klint pleated a sheet to shade a petroleum lamp after seeing Japanese origami. Tage Klint turned that family craft into a formal company in 1943, and Esben Klint's Model 107, designed in 1942, remains part of the collection today. Carronade is a different strand of that same design heritage: created with Markus Johansson in lacquered steel and brass rather than pleated paper, it shows how Le Klint's collaborations have grown beyond the folded shade while keeping the same Danish design standards.
