Tall, Tilting, Tripod Built
Designed by Markus Johansson, this tall, tripod style floor lamp takes Carronade's cannon inspired barrel shape and puts it on a tripod stand with an adjustable head, so it can work as a sculptural piece or be angled as a direct light source.
Materials
Matte lacquered steel with brass accents and an oiled American walnut handle on the shade for angling it by hand.
How it works
The head tilts to redirect the beam, and the lamp stands on a tripod base. As with all Le Klint floor lamps, it's designed to run from a mains plug rather than a hardwired ceiling connection.
Where it works best
Its height and adjustable head suit a reading corner, a spot beside an armchair, or a statement piece in an entrance hall.
Made By Le Klint
Le Klint's story began around 1900, when P.V. Jensen-Klint folded a sheet of paper into pleats to shade a petroleum lamp, inspired by Japanese origami. What started as a family craft became a company in 1943, when Tage Klint formally founded Le Klint, and in 1942 Esben Klint designed the pleated Model 107 that is still in the collection today. Carronade sits alongside that heritage as one of Le Klint's contemporary design collaborations: Markus Johansson's metal barrel shade and tripod stand rather than a hand pleated paper shade, but made to the same Danish attention to detail as the rest of the range.
