Colour and Oak, Precisely Angled
Designed by Pascal Hien in 2024, Spot 356 is a small adjustable lamp built to work as either a table lamp or a wall light, its solid coloured shade and oak stem giving it a more graphic, contemporary look than Le Klint's pleated ranges.
Four colours
The shade comes in black, olive green, silver or oxide red, each paired with an oak stem in light or smoked finish.
How it works
It stands 38cm high with a 20cm diameter shade, on an E14 fitting with a maximum recommended 20W LED (bulb not included), and runs from a flat, black, 191cm mains cable to a plug or wall fixing. Wall mounting should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
Where it works best
Its adjustable head suits a desk, a bedside wall, or anywhere you want a directed reading light with a distinct pop of colour.

Made By Le Klint
Spot 356 looks different to Le Klint's pleated shades, but its oak stem still comes from the same Danish workshop tradition. Le Klint's hand pleating goes back to around 1900, when P.V. Jensen-Klint folded a paper shade for a petroleum lamp using ideas borrowed from Japanese origami; his son Tage Klint went on to found Le Klint formally in 1943, and Esben Klint's 1942 Model 107 became one of its defining shapes. That same Odense workshop still trains new folders for around a year before they're proficient, and two to three years before they've mastered it. Pascal Hien designed Spot in 2024, pairing a solid coloured shade with an oak stem to bring a more graphic, contemporary piece into that same Danish design lineage.
