Three Blooms Gathered Into One Chandelier

The three shade version of Bouquet gathers three of Sinja Svarrer Damkjær's flower inspired pleated shades onto one ceiling rose, so the loose, organic hang of a bunch of spring flowers becomes a small chandelier rather than a single pendant.

Paper or standard foil

Paper is made in Germany to Le Klint's specification, gives a warmer light and develops a golden patina with age. Standard foil, Le Klint's European lampshade material, keeps a crisp white finish and is easy to wipe clean, UV resistant and anti static.

How it works

It comes in three sizes: Medium (40cm high, 35cm diameter, E14 fitting), Large (50cm high, 55cm diameter, E27 fitting) and X-Large (80cm high, 80cm diameter, E27 fitting), each shade taking a maximum recommended 10W LED. The fitting includes its own ceiling canopy. Bulbs are not included, and we'd recommend a qualified electrician fits any hardwired ceiling light.

Where it works best

Grouped shades suit a dining table or a stairwell where you want more visual presence than a single Bouquet pendant, while still keeping the soft, diffused quality of the fold.

Made by Le Klint

Hand pleating has been part of Le Klint since around 1900, when P. V. Jensen-Klint folded a shade for a petroleum lamp after seeing the same folded structure in Japanese origami, and the family spent the following decades refining it as a craft of their own before Tage Klint set the business up formally in 1943. Esben Klint's Model 107, designed in 1942, is still one of the shapes that defines the brand, and the fold itself is unchanged: every shade is still pleated by hand in the Odense workshop, where Le Klint says a new folder needs around a year to learn the technique and two to three years before they can be trusted to master it. The three shade Bouquet, designed by Sinja Svarrer Damkjær, is a newer variation on that inheritance, gathering three of the single flower inspired shades onto one ceiling rose so the loose, gathered look of cut spring flowers reads as a small chandelier rather than one pendant.
