The Widest Highlight of the Three
The largest of the numbered Caleo pendants, built on the same design Rikke Frost created for Denmark's Next Classic in 2019, with the bronze stringing that gives Caleo its name, "highlight" in Latin.
How it works
It stands 48cm high with a 50cm diameter, on an E27 fitting with a maximum recommended 20W LED (bulb not included), and hangs on 300cm of round, linen coloured cord.

Its wide diameter makes it a strong single statement over a dining table, where the bronze stringed pleats catch the light from below as well as the side.
Made By Le Klint
Behind Caleo 3's folds is more than a century of the same craft. Architect P.V. Jensen-Klint pleated the first shade around 1900 to take the glare off a petroleum lamp, borrowing the idea from Japanese origami, and the skill was passed down in his family until Tage Klint formally established Le Klint in 1943. Esben Klint's Model 107, designed the year before in 1942, remains the brand's defining early pendant. The Odense workshop still hand pleats every shade today, a skill that takes roughly a year to learn and two to three years to master across Le Klint's full range.
