A Brass Drum Light That Works As A Pendant Or Semi Flush
The Kichler Luella 4 Light Duo Mount Pendant has a wide, softly tapered metal shade with a bright white inside, and four candle style lamps on slim curving arms underneath. It takes its inspiration from early twentieth century lighting, with plain shapes and no fuss. The big idea is flexibility. Fit the stem and it hangs as a pendant, or leave it off and it sits close to the ceiling.
Brushed Natural Brass Finish
This one is finished in brushed natural brass, a warm golden tone with a fine brushed grain that looks calm and expensive without being showy. The shade is the star, a smooth sweep of brass above and clean white below that bounces light down and out. The same design is also offered with a black metal shade.
How It Works
- Four E14 lamp holders, suited to LED bulbs (bulbs not supplied)
- Works with a dimmer if you choose dimmable LED bulbs
- Steel construction, with the bulbs sitting inside the shade
- Includes a stem, so it can hang as a pendant or be fitted as a semi flush light
- Class I electrical fitting, which needs an earth connection

Where It Works Best
With a 55.9cm diameter this is a good size for a living room, a dining area, a large hallway or an open plan kitchen. Use the semi flush option where ceilings are lower, such as an entrance hall or landing. In a room with plenty of height, the pendant version gives the shade more presence.

Can the Luella really be used as a semi flush light?
Yes. Without the stem it measures just 23cm from the ceiling. With the stem fitted it can hang as far down as 114.4cm.
How big is it?
The shade is 55.9cm across and 21cm tall, so it covers a good amount of ceiling and suits medium to large rooms.
Is the inside of the shade white?
Yes. The brass outside is paired with a bright white inside, which reflects the light from the four bulbs and softens it.
Do the bulbs show?
Slightly. They sit under the shade on slim arms, so the light is directed down and the bulbs are partly hidden. Frosted or filament style LEDs look good here.
