The Kichler Hatteras Bay is a 142cm span ceiling fan built for larger rooms over 20 square metres. It brings together a coastal, classic silhouette with an integrated dimmable LED light, so one fitting handles the air movement and the ambient lighting in the same room.
Burnished Antique Brass with Burl Effect Blades
This version comes in a burnished antique brass finish, a warm, aged brass tone that sits comfortably against timber, leather and darker paint colours. The blades are made from ABS in a burl effect finish, giving them the texture and grain pattern of natural wood without the weight. Steel, plywood and glass complete the build, giving the fan a settled, substantial feel rather than a light, flimsy one.
How It Works
The fan offers three to four speed settings, moving up to 200 cubic metres of air a minute and reaching up to 161rpm on its highest setting. Everything, including fan speed and the integrated LED light, is controlled from the supplied remote control, so there's no need for a wall switch. Reversible blade rotation means you can run the fan anticlockwise in summer for a cooling breeze, then switch it clockwise in winter to help push warm air back down into the room. The integrated LED module puts out 1500 lumens at 3000K warm white and is dimmable using the remote. It's a replaceable module rather than a sealed unit, so it can be swapped out if it ever needs changing. The fan is also rated for sloped ceilings up to 22 degrees, using the supplied 30cm downrod.
