Kichler Franceasi Single Medium Wall Lantern - Olde Bronze

A Medium Outdoor Wall Lantern With Castle Window Detail

The Kichler Franceasi medium wall lantern is inspired by the tracery and mullions of European castle windows. Looping, scrolled metalwork frames tall glass panels, and a gently stepped cap tops the whole thing off. This is the mid size in the range, a good outdoor wall lantern for a front door that needs a little more presence.

Olde Bronze Finish

The olde bronze finish is dark and warm, with lighter highlights picked out along the edges of the tracery. It keeps its character in daylight and glows even more when the light is on. The panels are amber tinted and textured, so the lit lantern gives off a honey coloured light and casts delicate, patterned shadows on the wall beside it.

How It Works

• One E27 lamp holder, suited to an LED bulb (bulb not supplied)
• Dimmable when you use a dimmable LED bulb and a compatible dimmer
• Mild steel body with amber glass panels
• Rated IP44, so it is protected against splashing water
• Class I electrical fitting, which needs an earth connection

Where It Works Best

It suits porches, front doorways, double garage doors and the walls of a courtyard or terrace. The tall, slim shape fits well beside a door where there is not much room sideways, and a pair on either side of an entrance gives a stately look.

Made By Kichler

It all began in Cleveland, Ohio, in 1938, when Leonard Kichler started producing lighting. Kichler is now based in Solon, Ohio, and is known for outdoor lanterns that have a story to tell, like the Franceasi.
