A Minimal Three Light Chandelier With a Diamond Frame
The Kichler Deryn is a three light chandelier built from crisp, flat brass bars arranged in an inverted diamond. A cylinder of clear seeded glass sits at the end of each arm, and an exposed filament bulb glows inside. It is simple, geometric and easy to fit into a modern or transitional room.
Natural Brass Finish
This version has a natural brass finish, a warm golden tone with a brushed grain rather than a high shine. The flat bars, round collars and the chain all share the same colour. Against clear glass, the metal glows softly, and it looks good with oak, walnut, soft greens and deep blues.
How It Works
- Three E27 lamp holders, suited to LED bulbs (bulbs not supplied)
- Works with a dimmer if you choose dimmable LED bulbs
- Steel frame with clear seeded glass shades
- Hangs from a chain and a round ceiling plate, with an optional flush installation shown in the fitting guide
- Class I electrical fitting, which needs an earth connection
Edison style LED filament bulbs look right inside the seeded glass.
Where It Works Best
It suits a dining table, a small kitchen island, a hallway or a landing. The optional flush installation is helpful where the ceiling is lower, and the size is modest enough for smaller rooms.
Made By Kichler
Kichler was founded by Leonard Kichler in Cleveland, Ohio in 1938. The firm is now based in Solon, Ohio, and it has long mixed traditional ideas with a modern eye. The Deryn leans towards the modern end.
