A Big Twelve Candle Chandelier in Black Steel
The Kichler Capitol Hill 12 Light Chandelier is a large black chandelier built from slim steel tubes. Twelve candle style lights sit on two levels around a wide open hoop, with loops of tube curving down beneath them to a small central hub. It is a clean, graphic shape that nods to traditional candle chandeliers without any ornament, so it works in classic and modern rooms alike.
Black Finish
The whole fitting, from the ceiling plate and chain to the arms and hoop, is finished in smooth black. It looks sharp and simple, and it gives the filament bulbs a strong contrast, so the little flames of light stand out against the dark frame. It works well with white or pale walls, wooden floors and other matt black details like window frames.
How It Works
- Twelve E14 lamp holders, suited to LED candle bulbs (bulbs not supplied)
- Works with a dimmer if you choose dimmable LED bulbs
- All steel construction, hung from a chain with a ceiling plate
- Drop can be set between 87.8cm and 205.4cm
- Class I electrical fitting, which needs an earth connection
Clear filament style candle bulbs give a sparkly, traditional glow.
Where It Works Best
At 88.2cm wide, this is a statement piece for a large dining room, an open plan kitchen diner, a double height hallway or a stairwell. It needs a decent ceiling height, since the body is 77.9cm tall, so check the drop before you buy. In a bigger room it can be hung over a long dining table or in the centre of a seating area.

Questions People Ask
How many bulbs does it need?
It takes twelve E14 LED bulbs, and candle shapes look best. None are supplied.
Can it be dimmed?
Yes, as long as all twelve bulbs are dimmable and the dimmer can handle the total load.
How heavy is it?
It weighs 8kg, so make sure the ceiling fixing is strong enough and have it fitted by a qualified electrician.
Is there a smaller version?
The Capitol Hill collection also includes a two light wall light, finished in painted natural brass, if you want to repeat the design elsewhere in the room.
