A Small Outdoor Wall Lantern With Harbour Lamp Charm
The Kichler Ashland Bay Small Wall Lantern is a compact outdoor wall light with the look of an old boat lamp. Clear seeded glass with ribbed bands sits inside a slim framed body, and a little carry handle sits on top. It is a neat way to add some colonial character beside a front door or on a garden wall without taking up much space.
Burnished Bronze Finish
This version comes in burnished bronze, a soft, muted bronze tone with a lightly brushed look. It is warmer and gentler than a black lantern, so it suits painted timber, pale render and brick. Tiny air bubbles in the glass catch the light and give the bulb a sparkle when it is switched on.
How It Works
- One E27 lamp holder, suited to an LED bulb (bulb not supplied)
- Works with a dimmer if you choose a dimmable LED bulb
- Brass and aluminium body with clear seeded glass and a round back plate
- Rated IP44, so it is protected against splashing water for sheltered outdoor use
- Class I electrical fitting, which needs an earth connection
An LED filament bulb suits this lantern well and lets the shape of the glass show.
Where It Works Best
The small size is a good fit for narrow spots such as a side door, a gate pillar, a utility entrance or the wall beside a garage. Use a pair to frame a doorway, or one on its own where you just need a gentle pool of light.
