Five arms for a full spread of light
The Moony 5 Light Ceiling Lamp is the largest downlight in the family, with five flexible rods extending from a single ceiling plate, each one bending and holding its own angle independently of the rest.
The most dramatic version of the design
Five arms give the widest range of arrangement in the collection, from a tight cluster of globes to a wide, irregular spread that reaches across a large ceiling. It is the configuration built for rooms where the fitting itself is meant to be noticed, not just the light it gives off.
How it works
It takes five E27 LED bulbs, maximum 7W each, not included. This is a ceiling mounted, mains wired fixture, with all five rods extending from a single fixed base plate.
Where it works best
Open plan living areas, entrance halls and dining spaces with higher ceilings all suit its scale, particularly where it is the main light fitting in the room rather than one of several.
Karman and Marcantonio
Marcantonio used the five arm version to take the flexible rod idea as far as it goes, turning a repeated mechanism into something closer to a sculptural centrepiece. Karman manufactures the piece in Fossombrone, Italy, and describes its production as 100% Italian made.
