Maoo, wearing its boldest colour
Maoo is built around a small joke: a ceramic cat appears to leap across the wall towards a glass sphere lampshade with a mouse shaped sticker glowing inside it. Designed by Matteo Ugolini for Karman's Zoo collection, this orange version is the warmest and most energetic of the range.
Orange flocked ceramic
The cat's ceramic body is finished in an orange flocked coating, a fine textured surface that gives it a soft, velvet like appearance rather than a fabric or gloss finish. Combined with the frosted glass sphere, it brings genuine warmth to a wall, more citrus than pastel.
How it works
The glass sphere takes a single G9 bulb, rated to a maximum of 5W if using LED, and the bulb isn't included. Switched on, the frosted glass gives an even glow, with the mouse shaped sticker inside catching the light.

Its warm, confident colour suits rooms that can carry it: a playroom, a kitchen corner, a study, or anywhere that could use a bit of energy on the wall.
Karman's Zoo collection
Maoo is one piece within Karman's Zoo collection, which Karman states takes its inspiration from the animal kingdom to bring a playful character into interior lighting. Karman is an Italian brand founded in 2005 in Fossombrone, in the Marche region of central Italy, and describes its production as 100% Italian made.
