A bull's head, cast in ceramic and light
Corrado is Karman's take on a matador's opponent, a bull's head reimagined as a wall light with a metal nose ring and a pair of horns that each carry their own light source at the tip. It sits in the brand's Zoo collection alongside gorillas, owls and bulldogs, and reads as sculpture first, light fitting second.
Matt grey ceramic
This version is finished in a flat, chalky grey that keeps the piece grounded rather than showy. Karman states the matt surface is designed to soften the drama of the subject, giving the head a stony, almost weathered quality that sits comfortably against both pale and dark walls without fighting for attention.
How it works
Corrado takes 2 x E14 bulbs, max 46W each, positioned at the tips of the horns. It's a wall mounted, mains wired fitting rather than a plug in lamp, so it needs to go through a proper electrical installation.
Where it works best
The grey finish suits hallways, studies and living rooms where you want a strong shape without the piece feeling like the loudest thing in the room. It works well as a single statement or paired with its white or black velvet siblings for a small herd effect along one wall.
Karman's Zoo collection
Corrado belongs to Karman's Zoo series, a run of ceramic animal head lights designed by Matteo Ugolini that also includes a gorilla, a bulldog, a toucan, a deer, an owl and a cat. Each piece treats the wall light as a piece of characterful decor as much as a source of illumination.
