Interiors 1900 describes the effect as small in stature but full of colour, with light glowing warmly through every panel once the lamp is switched on.

One Considered Size

The Sylvette Mini is offered in this single glass colourway and bronze effect base, so there is no finish to choose between here. What you are choosing is scale and placement: at just over 30cm tall it sits happily alone on a nightstand, or works as a pair either side of a bed or flanking a dressing table mirror where a larger table lamp would crowd the surface.

How It Works

The lamp takes a single replaceable E14 golf lamp (not supplied), rated up to 40W, so you can choose your own warmth of light rather than being tied to a fixed integral LED that cannot be changed if it fails. It is not dimmable, and its Class II rating means it does not need an earth connection.

Where It Works Best

Its small footprint, around 15cm across, makes the Sylvette Mini the right choice for spaces too tight for a full sized Tiffany table lamp: bedside tables, occasional tables, or a shelf where a larger piece would look out of place. Established in 1983, Interiors 1900 first built its reputation on handmade Tiffany style lamps like this one, before expanding into brass and crystal lighting over the following four decades. The Sylvette shade is hand assembled from individually coloured pieces of glass, mixed while molten, so faint variation in tone and texture from one lamp to the next is a mark of genuine handwork rather than a flaw.
