A Column Of Colour For The Corner

The Sullivan Floor Lamp stands nearly 1.6 metres tall, topped with a wide dome of hand assembled Tiffany glass that turns an ordinary corner into a genuine talking point once it is lit.

The Sullivan Look

The shade is built from individually cut and coloured pieces of glass, mixed and shaped while molten and then soldered together by hand, so gentle variation in colour and texture across the dome is real handmade character rather than a defect. Every Sullivan floor lamp will look very slightly different from the next for exactly this reason.

How It Works

Two E27 lamps rated up to 60W each sit inside the shade, which measures around 56cm across, and the lamp is operated by pull cord switches rather than a wall dimmer. As with the rest of the Sullivan range, it takes a standard replaceable E27 lamp rather than an integral LED engine, so you can choose the exact warmth of light without being tied to a built in driver.

Where It Works Best

Its height and wide shade make this the piece to place beside an armchair or sofa where you want ambient, coloured light rather than bright reading light, or as a standalone statement in an empty corner or reading nook. It brings the Sullivan look to floor level in a way none of the range's ceiling pendants or table lamps can match.

Since 1983, Interiors 1900 has specialised in handmade Tiffany style lighting, and the Sullivan floor lamp shows the technique at a scale that fills a room. Building a shade this size by hand, panel by panel, is the same slow craft the company was founded on more than four decades ago.
