The Sullivan 3 Light Semi Flush Pendant brings the range's richly coloured floral glass to a ceiling with less headroom to spare, sitting close against the ceiling rather than hanging low on a chain.

The Sullivan Look

The shade is hand assembled from individual pieces of coloured glass, so gentle variation in colour and texture between panels is genuine and part of the appeal rather than a flaw. Sitting closer to the ceiling than the range's hanging pendants, the glasswork here reads as a glowing dome rather than a low, dramatic feature.

How It Works

Three E27 lamps rated up to 60W each sit inside the shade, which measures around 30cm high by 40cm in diameter and weighs approximately 3.1kg. It is Class 1 (earthed) and, like other Sullivan pieces, takes a standard replaceable E27 lamp rather than an integral LED engine, so there is no risk of the fitting becoming obsolete if a driver fails and you retain full control over the colour temperature of light.

Where It Works Best

Its close to ceiling profile makes this the Sullivan pendant to choose for a room with lower ceilings, a landing, box room or a hallway where a hanging pendant would sit too low. Compared with the Sullivan Medium 2 Light Flush Fitting Pendant, this three lamp version gives a brighter, busier spread of colour across the same close fitting silhouette.

Interiors 1900 built its reputation from 1983 onward on handmade Tiffany style lamps, a craft still very much alive in pieces like this semi flush fitting. Each shade is built from individually cut and soldered glass, keeping the same hand finished character the brand started with, whatever the shape of the fitting it ends up on.
