The plain Stanford Single Wall Light in Antique Brass uses the same single arm frame with nothing over the lamp, for a more architectural, exposed look. Both fix in the same way, so the choice is purely about the finished character you want.

How It Works

A single E14 candle lamp rated up to 40W sits behind the organza shade, and the fitting is Class 1 (earthed) and dimmable with a suitable dimmable LED lamp and a compatible leading or trailing edge dimmer switch. With the shade in place, glare is far less of a concern than on the bare brass version, so any warm white dimmable LED lamp will suit well.

Where It Works Best

Its small scale and soft light make this the fitting to use in multiples along a hallway or landing, or singly beside a bed where a gentle glow is wanted rather than bright, direct light. It pairs naturally with other shaded Stanford pieces such as the matching pendant or table lamp, and suits classic and traditional interiors more readily than its bare brass sibling.
