Choosing Your Stanford Look

Choose this version when you want the fitting to look finished and furnished rather than exposed, the shades soften both the light and the silhouette against the ceiling. The plain Stanford 3 Light Pendant in Antique Brass shows the same curved arms without any covering, for a more architectural, unshaded look. Both hang on the same adjustable chain drop, so it is really a question of atmosphere.

How It Works

Three E14 candle lamps rated up to 40W each sit behind the organza shades, and the pendant is height adjustable at installation across a drop of roughly 450mm to 1550mm to suit different ceiling heights. It is Class 1 (earthed) and dimmable with a suitable dimmable LED lamp and a compatible leading or trailing edge dimmer switch. With the shades in place, glare is far less of a concern than on the exposed brass version, so any warm white dimmable LED lamp will suit.

This is the pick for a dining room, snug or hallway where you want warm, diffused pools of light rather than a display of exposed brass.
