A Standing Lamp With Real Presence

At over a metre and a half tall, the Jamelia Floor Lamp is built to be noticed. Its dome shaped shade is pieced together from bevelled and textured glass in warm cream and amber tones, flecked with the small amber beads that run through the whole Jamelia range, and set on a bronze effect column that holds its own even with the light switched off.

The Jamelia range gives you a choice of scale rather than a choice of colour, since the glass and finish stay consistent across the collection. This floor lamp is the tallest option, standing 157.5cm high with a 50cm diameter shade, so if you want the same look on a side table instead, the Jamelia Small or Mini Table Lamp carry the design down to a much smaller footprint.

How It Works

Two E27 lamp holders sit inside the shade, designed for LED GLS lamps which are not included. The lamp is not dimmable and is Class II, double insulated, built from glass and polyester resin rather than metal. Because it takes standard screw fit E27 lamps rather than a sealed LED module, you can choose warmer or cooler light to taste and replace a lamp in seconds if it ever fails, with no risk of the whole fitting becoming obsolete.

Where It Works Best

This is a corner piece, built for filling an empty space beside an armchair or sofa where a table lamp would look lost. It suits living rooms, snugs and period style bedrooms where you want ambient light at height rather than a task light, and its scale makes it the natural anchor of the Jamelia range if you are building a coordinated room around several pieces.
