This medium inverted pendant brings the Hutchinson family's bowl shaped, upward facing shade down to a more modest 40cm, sending its Tiffany style glow onto the ceiling rather than straight down onto the room below. It sits at the same scale as the Medium Pendant, but changes the way that light behaves in a space.

Choosing Your Hutchinson

Compared with the Hutchinson Large Inverted 3 Light Pendant, this medium version uses a 40cm shade rather than 50cm, and a shorter chain adjustment for lower ceilings. Choose the inverted shade here for a softer, reflected light, or the standard Medium Pendant if you would rather the light travelled straight down through three separate shades.

How It Works

Three E27 lampholders sit inside the upturned shade, each rated up to 40W, with the chain adjustable between 45cm and 68cm. The fitting is dimmable when used with a compatible dimmer switch and a suitable dimmable lamp.

Where It Works Best

The upward facing shade makes this a good fit for a landing, snug or reading corner where a softer, bounced light is preferred over direct downward light, and its smaller shade suits rooms where the full 50cm large inverted version would feel oversized.
