Two Lights, Close to the Ceiling

Hector Medium keeps the same handcrafted Tiffany style glasswork as the rest of the range but sets it into a flush fitting that sits almost against the ceiling, so the colour and texture of the glass become part of the ceiling itself rather than an object hanging in the room.

Choosing Your Hector

This is the two light flush fitting in the Hector family, a step down in scale and light count from the three light semi flush version and without the hanging drop of the pendant options. Pick this where ceiling height or a low doorway rules out anything that hangs down further.

How It Works

Two E27 lamp holders take a 60W GLS lamp each, not supplied, and the fitting is dimmable when fitted with dimmable lamps and a compatible dimmer. It is wired to Class I and projects just 19cm from the ceiling, with a 40cm shade diameter.

Where It Works Best

The shallow projection makes this the practical choice for low ceilinged hallways, landings and box rooms, while still giving two points of coloured light rather than the single source of a smaller fitting. It works equally well as a stair light or as an understated ceiling feature in a period bedroom.

Interiors 1900 has been making decorative lighting in Britain since 1983, starting with handmade Tiffany style lamps and growing over the following four decades into brass, crystal and classically influenced ranges. The Hector name nods to Hector Guimard, the French architect whose Art Nouveau ironwork shaped the entrances to the Paris Metro, and every shade in the range is built by hand from separate pieces of coloured glass, so no two are ever quite identical.
