Hector takes its curved steel arms and warm glasswork from the Art Nouveau ironwork of 1900s Paris, translating a famous piece of street architecture into a semi flush ceiling light for the home. Three shades of handcrafted Tiffany style glass sit close beneath the ceiling, throwing pools of coloured light across the room without eating into headroom.

Choosing Your Hector

This semi flush pendant is the three light version of the Hector family, sized for rooms that want more spread of light than a single pendant gives but cannot take a deep drop from the ceiling. If you need the fitting to hang lower, the Hector Medium Pendant and Medium Inverted 3 Light Pendant in this range offer adjustable drops instead of this fitting's close to ceiling profile.

How It Works

Three lamp holders take E27 lamps, with a 10W LED recommended and not supplied. The fitting is dimmable when used with a dimmable LED lamp and a compatible dimmer switch. Wired to Class I, it projects 31.5cm from the ceiling with a shade diameter of 40cm.

Where It Works Best

The close fitting profile suits hallways, landings and rooms with lower ceilings where a hanging pendant would sit too low, while still giving the three light spread that a single flush fitting cannot match. It reads equally well in a period hallway or a contemporary living room looking for a point of colour.

Made By Interiors 1900

Established in 1983, Interiors 1900 built its name on handmade Tiffany style lamps before expanding into brass, crystal and classically inspired lighting over more than four decades. The Hector range takes its name and its curved silhouette from Hector Guimard, the French Art Nouveau architect behind the wrought iron entrances to the Paris Metro, and each shade is assembled by hand from individual pieces of coloured glass. Small differences in colour, texture and soldering between shades are part of that handmade process rather than a fault.
