Fargo, Hung the Conventional Way

Where the inverted pendants in this range face their glass upward, this fitting hangs the standard way, three lamps behind a 50cm shade dropping down on a long adjustable chain, built to sit over a table rather than glow into a ceiling.

This is the largest conventionally hung pendant in the Fargo range, matching the 50cm shade of the Large Inverted pendant and the Floor Lamp, but on a chain that extends much further, from 45cm down to 125cm. That range makes it adaptable to rooms with higher ceilings in a way the inverted pendants, built for a shorter fixed drop, are not.

Where It Works Best

The long adjustable chain suits a dining table beneath a high or vaulted ceiling, or a stairwell where the drop needs to reach well below the ceiling line. Compared with the Large Inverted pendant in this range, this fitting throws its light down onto the table rather than up and out, so it is the better choice where direct light over a surface matters more than ambient glow.

Interiors 1900 has been designing Tiffany style and Art Deco inspired lighting since 1983, and the Fargo range channels that Deco era geometry into bent, hand assembled art glass. This pendant's shade is built the same way as every other Fargo fitting, piece by piece by hand, so the pearlescent white glass carries subtle variation in tone and soldering that comes with genuine handmade construction. The brand belongs to the Poole Lighting group, alongside Endon and Saxby, at the more decorative end of that group's range.
