The Inverted Take on Flame

Turn a pendant's glass upward instead of down and the light changes completely: instead of a pool of colour cast below, the lamps sit inside the shade and the whole dragonfly wing pattern glows outward and up, brightening the ceiling and walls around it. That is the effect this inverted pendant is built for, a different way of showing the same Flame glass used across the range.

This inverted fitting shares its 40cm shade with the standard Medium 3 Light pendant in the Dragonfly Flame range, so the two can be mixed in adjoining rooms without any jump in scale. What separates them is orientation and drop: the standard Medium pendant hangs conventionally on a chain up to 125cm, while this one sits higher and shorter, with a shorter adjustable chain built specifically for the inverted, upward facing shade.

Where It Works Best
