The Medium Pendant hangs three lamps behind a single domed shade of Dragonfly Blue glass, giving a warm pool of coloured light over whatever sits beneath it, a table, an island, or a seating area.

At 410mm across, the shade is large enough to read as a proper centrepiece without overwhelming an average sized dining room or kitchen, which is where this pendant tends to earn its keep in the Dragonfly Blue range.

How It Works

The chain is height adjustable, giving a drop of 470mm to 1380mm from a 1.2 metre chain, with a shade diameter of 410mm. It takes 3 x 60W E27 (GLS) lamps, not included, and is dimmable with a suitable dimmable LED lamp and compatible dimmer.

Where It Works Best

Hung low, it makes a natural centrepiece over a dining table. Raised higher on its adjustable chain, the same fitting works over a kitchen island or breakfast bar where more headroom is needed underneath. Compared with the flush and semi flush fittings in this range, it is built specifically for rooms where a hanging light is wanted rather than one that sits against the ceiling.

Made By Interiors 1900

This pendant continues a shade shape Interiors 1900 has produced since the brand's early days making handmade Tiffany style lighting in 1983. Colour is worked into the glass while it is still molten, then each piece is cut and leaded into the shade by hand, which is why no two shades come out identical. As Interiors 1900 puts it, those small differences give the glass its own life and individuality, rather than being treated as a fault.
