The One That Fills A Room

Hung over a dining table or in a stairwell, the Dragonfly Blue Large 3 Light Pendant is the biggest ceiling piece in the Blue colourway, its wide leaded glass shade throwing a deep blue and green pattern across the whole room.

Why Blue

Rendered in mottled blue and green glass with amber beading, this colourway gives the Dragonfly motif a cooler, more graphic edge than the ivory and honey tones of the Beige version elsewhere in the range. It suits darker interiors, contemporary furniture and rooms that can take a bolder splash of colour overhead.

How It Works

Three E27 (ES) lamps, each up to 60W, sit behind a 500mm diameter shade on a chain that adjusts from 545mm to 1380mm, so the drop can be set to suit the ceiling and the table below. The fitting weighs 4.5kg and is dimmable when used with a suitable dimmable LED lamp and compatible dimmer.

Where It Works Best

Its scale and triple lamp output make this the pendant to choose over a large dining table, a kitchen island, or an open stairwell, spots where the smaller Medium pendants in the range would look lost. Where the ceiling is lower or the room smaller, the Medium or Flush versions are the better fit.

Made By Interiors 1900

Interiors 1900 has made Tiffany style lighting since 1983, and pieces of this scale show off the technique at its most impressive. Coloured glass is mixed while still molten and then hand cut into the panels that make up each shade, a process Interiors 1900 says gives every piece a subtly different colour and texture from the next. More than four decades after it began, the brand has expanded into brass and crystal lighting, but this remains one of its most striking Tiffany designs.
