Not every dining table needs the biggest pendant in the collection. The Dragonfly Beige Medium 3 Light Pendant gives three lamps and a full leaded glass shade in a size that suits an ordinary dining room or breakfast table without overwhelming it.

Why Beige

Rendered in ivory, honey and amber glass, this colourway takes the edge off the Dragonfly design's more graphic blues and greens, leaving a softer, more forgiving pattern overhead. It sits comfortably above pale walls, wood tables and neutral schemes where a bolder colourway might feel too insistent.

How It Works

An adjustable chain lets the 410mm diameter shade drop anywhere from 470mm to 1500mm, so it can be set precisely over a table at almost any ceiling height. It takes 3 x 60W E27 (ES) lamps, not included, is dimmable with a suitable dimmable LED lamp and compatible dimmer, and is Class 1 earthed with a 3 year guarantee.

Where It Works Best

This is the pendant for a family dining table or a kitchen table used daily, where the Large pendant in the range would feel oversized and the 2 Light Flush Fitting would give too little presence. The long adjustable drop also makes it workable in rooms with higher than average ceilings.

Interiors 1900 has spent more than four decades building on the Tiffany style lighting it first became known for back in 1983. Each Dragonfly shade is still hand assembled from individually cut pieces of coloured glass, mixed while molten so that, as Interiors 1900 puts it, every panel carries its own life and individuality. It is a slow way to make a light fitting, and it shows in pieces like this one, made for everyday use rather than sitting on a shelf.
