Three Lights, One Story
Hung low over a table or landing, the Dragonfly Beige Large 3 Light Pendant spreads its stained glass canopy wide enough to fill a room with pattern before a single lamp is switched on. It is the biggest ceiling piece in the Beige colourway, and it behaves like it.
Why Beige
This colourway leans into ivory, honey and soft amber glass rather than the blues and greens used elsewhere in the wider Dragonfly design, so the dragonfly motifs read as gentle silhouettes rather than bold graphic shapes. It works well above rooms furnished in warm woods, linen and brass, where a cooler palette would feel at odds with the rest of the scheme.
How It Works
Three E27 (ES) lamps, each up to 60W, sit behind a 500mm diameter shade suspended on an adjustable chain that drops from 545mm to 1380mm, so it can be set to suit ceiling height and table below. The fitting weighs 4.5kg and is dimmable when used with a suitable dimmable LED lamp and compatible dimmer.
Where It Works Best
Its size and triple lamp count make this the pendant to choose over a dining table, a kitchen island, or a stairwell landing where the smaller Medium pendants in the range would look underpowered. Reserve the Medium and Flush versions for lower ceilings or more modest rooms.
Made By Interiors 1900
Interiors 1900 has been making lighting like this since 1983, when the British company first built its reputation on handmade Tiffany style lamps. The Dragonfly design keeps that founding craft alive. Coloured glass is mixed while still molten and hand cut into the individual panels that make up each shade, a process Interiors 1900 says gives every piece its own subtle variation in colour and texture. The brand has since branched into brass and crystal lighting, but pieces like this remain closest to where it began.
