Dark Star Inverted, Three Lights Rising Into Glass
The most striking piece in the Dark Star ceiling range, this inverted pendant lifts three lamps into a bowl of iridescent black and pearly cream glass, with dark bronze metalwork and visible copper soldering adding a further layer of Art Deco detail to the design.
Choosing Your Dark Star Piece
At 60cm deep, this inverted pendant hangs lower and shows more of its glasswork than the flush or semi flush fittings, both built around the same 49cm shade diameter. Choose this where you want the Dark Star effect as a genuine hanging centrepiece rather than a close fitted ceiling glow.
How It Works
Three E27 lamps, rated up to 60W each, sit within the uplighter style bowl, and the fitting is dimmable when used with a suitable dimmable LED lamp and compatible dimmer switch. It is a Class I earthed fitting, suspended from a circular ceiling plate on a decorative chain.
Where It Works Best
Its scale and drop suit dining rooms, entrance halls and open plan living spaces with generous ceiling height, where the flush and semi flush Dark Star fittings would sit too close to the ceiling to make the same impact. Over a dining table it gives a strong focal point as well as functional light.

Interiors 1900 has produced handmade Tiffany style glass since 1983, and this inverted pendant is among the most ambitious pieces built from that original technique, its glass hand mixed while molten to create the iridescent black and cream effect. The dark bronze metalwork and copper soldering are finished to complement the glass rather than compete with it. Pieces like this sit at the premium end of the brand's range, positioned above typical high street lighting.
