Choosing Your Brooklyn Piece

Within the Brooklyn range this is the largest of the flush options, built around two lamps rather than one, so it throws noticeably more light than the smaller single bulb ceiling fittings in the family. Choose this over the inverted pendant if your ceiling height is limited, or if you want a neater, closer fixing above a hallway, landing or lower ceilinged living space.

How It Works

Two E27 lamps, rated up to 60W each, sit behind the glass dome and can be paired with a dimmable LED lamp and a compatible dimmer switch if you want to vary the mood through the evening. At around 22cm deep and 50cm across, it sits close to the ceiling while still giving the glasswork room to glow.

Where It Works Best

The flush profile makes it a natural fit for period hallways, landings and dining rooms where a pendant would hang too low, while still delivering the character of the Brooklyn glasswork. Founded in 1983, Interiors 1900 built its reputation on handmade Tiffany style lamps before expanding into brass, crystal and other classically inspired lighting over the following four decades. The glass in this fitting is made using that same original technique, with individual panels cut and leaded by hand, so no two shades are ever perfectly identical. The result sits at the more decorative, premium end of British lighting, drawing on Georgian, Victorian and Art Deco influences rather than any single period.
