Where the flush fitting sits almost flat, the Botanica Large 3 Light Semi Flush Pendant lifts the same floral glasswork away from the ceiling by around 30cm, enough to give the design a sense of depth without needing the drop of a full pendant.

Choosing Your Botanica Fitting

Botanica's brightly coloured floral glass is consistent throughout the range, so this fitting's role comes down to how far it sits from the ceiling. At 31.5cm high and 45cm across, it sits between the close fitting Large 2 Light Flush Fitting and the fully suspended Large Pendant, a middle option for rooms that can take a little more depth but not a hanging fitting.

How It Works

Three E27 lamp holders sit within the shade, dimmable with a suitable LED lamp and compatible dimmer switch. At 2.3kg, dark bronze effect metalwork frames the floral glass panels, and the fitting's modest 31.5cm depth makes it a good fit for ceilings that are low but not so low as to demand a full flush fitting.

Where It Works Best

This semi flush pendant suits dining rooms, bedrooms and living rooms with standard ceiling heights where you want a touch more presence than the flush fitting offers, without committing to a fully hanging pendant. It is the balanced choice among the Botanica ceiling options, more dimensional than the flush fitting, more contained than the Large Pendant.

Interiors 1900 has handcrafted lighting since 1983, and Botanica represents a more contemporary strand of that work, a modern floral design built using the same hand mixed, hand leaded glass techniques as the brand's original Tiffany style pieces. Colour and texture vary subtly between individual fittings as a result, evidence of glass genuinely worked by hand. The company has since broadened into brass and crystal lighting, but this hand assembled glasswork remains close to its founding craft.
