Not every surface needs a full sized lamp, and the Astoria Small Table Lamp brings the range's Art Deco glass to a bedside table or a shelf without asking for much space in return.
Choosing Your Astoria Fitting
The glasswork is identical in character across Astoria, so this lamp's place in the range comes down to its compact 44cm height and 30cm shade, smaller than the Medium Table Lamp and better suited to a bedside table or a narrower surface where the larger lamp would overhang the edge.
How It Works
A single E14 lamp holder sits beneath the 30cm shade, rated up to 40W. This lamp is not dimmable, so the lamp you choose sets the brightness directly, worth bearing in mind if you want a lower level bedside glow rather than a bright reading light.
Where It Works Best
This is the Astoria piece for a bedside table, a small side table or a shelf where the Medium Table Lamp's 40cm shade would be too wide. It is the natural pair to the Single Wall Fitting if you are furnishing a bedroom and want the range's glasswork repeated at more than one point in the room.

Interiors 1900 has handcrafted lighting since 1983, and this small lamp carries the same Art Deco design and hand mixed glass found throughout the Astoria range, simply built to a scale that suits a bedside table. Each shade is assembled from individually bevelled pieces of glass, so subtle differences in colour and texture between lamps are to be expected, part of what makes a handmade shade different from a mass produced one. The brand has since broadened into brass and crystal lighting, but pieces like this remain close to its original craft.
