How It Works

Two E27 lamp holders sit beneath the 40cm shade, each taking lamps up to 40W. Running two smaller wattage lamps rather than one larger one gives a more even spread of light through the glass, letting the coloured panels glow rather than concentrating all the brightness at a single point.

Interiors 1900 has been making handcrafted lighting since 1983, and this table lamp shows the same Art Deco glasswork found throughout the Astoria range, just brought down to living room and bedroom scale. Every shade panel is mixed and bevelled by hand, so no two lamps carry identical colour and texture, a genuine feature of the process rather than something to see as a flaw.
