The dynamic lines and shifting iridescent colour are all still there, just set almost directly against the ceiling.

Choosing Your Astoria Fitting

Astoria's mixed glass palette of clear dimpled, white and iridescent tones is consistent across the range, so this fitting's place in the family is about ceiling clearance. At 20cm high, it sits well below the drop of the 3 Light Pendant or the Large Inverted version, making it the practical choice for lower ceilings while still using the full 48cm shade diameter found on the family's larger pieces.

How It Works

Two E27 lamp holders are fitted behind the glass, each rated up to 60W and dimmable with a suitable LED lamp and compatible dimmer switch. At 48cm across and only 20cm deep, it delivers a broad spread of coloured light without demanding much ceiling clearance, useful in rooms where a deeper pendant would look cramped.

Where It Works Best

Choose this fitting for hallways, landings and rooms with lower or sloped ceilings where a full pendant would sit too low. Against the 3 Light Pendant, which hangs down on a long adjustable chain, this flush version keeps the same Art Deco character but stays entirely out of the way overhead.

Interiors 1900's lighting has been handmade since the company started in 1983, and the Astoria range applies that craft to an Art Deco design language rather than the brand's original Tiffany Art Nouveau work. Every glass panel here is mixed and bevelled by hand while molten, so subtle variation in colour and texture between fittings is expected, a sign of genuine handcraft rather than a defect. The company has since grown into brass and crystal lighting too, but this hand assembled glasswork remains at its core.
